Export documentation
Every shipment travels with a complete, consistent document set. The Mill Test Certificate is the heart of it — proof that the steel meets the declared standard and grade.
Documentation is where export-quality rebar is won or lost. A mismatch between the bar tag, the test certificate and the commercial invoice can hold cargo at the port of discharge. We issue a coordinated set so the data agrees across every document — grade, diameter, heat/cast number, weights and standard references all reconcile.

Packing for sea freight
Reinforcing steel is heavy, long and abrasive. It has to be packed so it survives handling cranes, container stuffing, and weeks at sea without distortion or corrosion damage.
Bundled & strapped bars
Straight bars are bundled by diameter and length, machine-strapped at multiple points and tagged. A typical export bundle is around 2 tonnes — sized for safe crane handling and efficient container or vessel stowage.
Coils
B500A/B500B coil rebar (6–16 mm) is wound, banded and labelled for automated stirrup and mesh machines. Coils are stowed to prevent telescoping and movement in transit.
Mesh on pallets
Welded reinforcing mesh panels are stacked flat, banded and palletised so they stay square and undamaged. Bespoke panel sizes are packed to the agreed stacking pattern.
Every bundle and pallet carries an identification tag that ties back to the packing list and Mill Test Certificate, so material can be verified on arrival. Shipping modes
The right mode depends on tonnage, destination port and how the cargo will be discharged and handled on arrival.
FCL container
Full-container-load shipping suits small-to-medium tonnages and projects that need protected, easily handled cargo. Bundles are stuffed and secured inside the container; ideal where the discharge port and inland transport favour container handling. Lengths are matched to container dimensions (standard bar lengths 6–12 m).
Break-bulk / bulk vessel
For large tonnages, break-bulk or bulk-vessel shipment is typically the most efficient route — bundles are lifted directly into the hold and discharged by crane. This suits long bars and high-volume project orders where a charter or liner break-bulk service serves the destination.
We advise on the mode that best fits your volume, destination and budget. For modest, time-sensitive consignments FCL is often the simplest; for full project tonnages break-bulk usually wins on cost per tonne. Indicative routing and consolidation options are confirmed at quotation.
Incoterms we trade under
Incoterms (Incoterms® 2020) define exactly where our responsibility ends and yours begins — for cost, risk and delivery. We quote against whichever term your contract specifies.
FOB
Free On Board — we deliver and load the goods onto the vessel at the agreed port of loading; risk and onward freight pass to you there.
CFR
Cost and Freight — we arrange and pay ocean freight to the named destination port; risk transfers once loaded on board.
CIF
Cost, Insurance and Freight — as CFR, plus we arrange marine insurance to the destination port.
DAP
Delivered At Place — we deliver to a named place in the destination country; you handle import clearance and duties.
FOB and CIF are the most common terms for ocean rebar shipments, but we can also quote CFR or DAP where it suits your project. The Incoterm chosen determines who books freight, who insures the cargo and where risk transfers — so it’s agreed before the order is confirmed and stated on the commercial invoice.
