Industries We Supply Reinforcement Steel To
From high-rise cores to bridge decks, power plants, ports and precast yards, Steel Rebar Germany delivers rebar for construction and infrastructure that arrives certified, traceable and on schedule. We match the grade, diameter, shape and standard to the structure — then export it to your port. Every bar carries a mill test certificate.
The Sector Brief
One reinforcement partner across every concrete structure you build
Reinforcement steel behaves the same in chemistry and metallurgy whether it ends up in a tower foundation or a sea wall — but the specification, processing and logistics that surround it change completely from one industry to the next. A high-rise contractor needs cut and bend delivered by pour sequence. A bridge authority needs Grade 60 with documented ductility and weldability. A precast plant needs consistent coil and mesh feed to keep the casting beds turning.
Steel Rebar Germany is built around those differences. We supply TMT rebar (Ø8–40mm), cut and bend to BS 8666, welded wire mesh and structural sections to contractors, distributors and manufacturers in every sector below, certified to BS 4449, ASTM A615 and ISO 6935 and shipped to over 40 ports. The result is fewer suppliers to manage, one certification standard to audit, and a single export desk that already understands how your industry buys.

Five Sectors, One Standard
Reinforcement steel for the structures you build
Each sector has its own grades, diameters and processing demands. Here is where Steel Rebar Germany reinforcement most often goes to work.
Building Construction
High-rise cores, raft foundations, columns, slabs and shear walls — the everyday backbone of residential, commercial and mixed-use towers.
Infrastructure & Bridges
Bridge decks, piers, retaining walls, tunnels, culverts and highway works where ductility, fatigue and durability are non-negotiable.
Energy & Power
Turbine and transformer plinths, cooling structures, wind-turbine bases, dams and substation works that carry heavy, sustained load.
Marine & Offshore
Ports, quay walls, breakwaters, jetties and coastal defences where chloride attack and cover durability govern the whole design.
Precast & Manufacturing
Panels, beams, hollow-core, pipes, segments and sleepers — high-volume casting beds that need consistent coil, mesh and cut bar feed.

Spec & Grade Guidance
What we typically supply, sector by sector
A practical starting point for specifiers and buyers. We always supply to your engineer’s drawings and bar bending schedule — these are the grades, diameters and forms most common in each industry.
01 / Building Construction
Towers, slabs and foundations
For residential and commercial structures the workhorse is high-yield ribbed rebar in B500B or Grade 60, from Ø8mm links and slab mesh up to Ø32mm column and raft bars. The biggest win here is processing: ordering cut and bend to BS 8666, tagged by bar mark and pour, removes on-site cutting, slashes off-cut waste and lets steel-fixers fix faster on congested high-rise floors.
We pair rebar with A-series welded mesh for slabs and walls so the whole reinforcement package ships from one certified source, banded and sequenced for each lift.
- Typical grade
- B500B / Gr60
- Diameter range
- Ø8 – 32mm
- Common forms
- Cut & bend, mesh, straight
- Standards
- BS 4449, BS 8666, ISO 6935-2
02 / Infrastructure & Bridges
Bridges, tunnels and retaining works
Civil infrastructure pushes rebar harder: fatigue, seismic demand and weldability all come into play. We supply Grade 60 (ASTM A615) and B500B/B500C with controlled ductility for bridge decks, piers and abutments, and weldable grades to ASTM A706 on request where lap or mechanical splicing is restricted.
Diameters run heavier here — commonly Ø16mm to Ø40mm for piers, pile caps and retaining walls — with documented heat traceability so the asset owner can audit every cast back to the mill.
- Typical grade
- Gr60 / B500B–C
- Diameter range
- Ø16 – 40mm
- Common forms
- Cut & bend, straight, couplers
- Standards
- ASTM A615/A706, BS 4449
03 / Energy & Power
Plinths, bases and mass foundations
Energy structures carry concentrated, vibrating and sustained loads, so reinforcement is dense and large. Turbine plinths, transformer bases, wind-turbine foundations and dam works frequently call for Grade 75 or B500C in Ø25mm to Ø40mm, arranged in heavily congested mats where bar spacing and lap length are critical.
We supply the larger diameters as straight stock bar and cut and bend with mechanical couplers where lap length would be uneconomic, all heat-traceable for the rigorous QA regimes power projects demand.
- Typical grade
- Gr75 / B500C
- Diameter range
- Ø25 – 40mm
- Common forms
- Straight, cut & bend, couplers
- Standards
- ASTM A615 Gr75, ISO 6935-2
04 / Marine & Offshore
Ports, quay walls and coastal defences
In marine exposure the enemy is chloride-induced corrosion. Most splash-zone and submerged elements use standard ribbed rebar protected by generous cover and dense, low-permeability concrete — but for the most aggressive exposure we can source fusion-bonded epoxy-coated or stainless reinforcement.
Diameters typically span Ø12mm to Ø40mm for sea walls, jetties and breakwaters. Every order is documented against the project’s durability specification, with coating thickness and adhesion certificates where coated bar is supplied.
- Typical grade
- B500B / Gr60 (+ coated)
- Diameter range
- Ø12 – 40mm
- Common forms
- Straight, cut & bend, epoxy/SS
- Standards
- BS 4449, ASTM A615/A775
05 / Precast & Manufacturing
Panels, segments, pipes and sleepers
Precast plants live and die by consistency and supply rhythm. Automated mesh welders and bending lines need reliable coil rebar (Ø6–16mm) and welded wire mesh with tight dimensional tolerance so the casting beds never stall. We supply coil, straight bar to Ø25mm and custom mesh fabricated to drawing for panels, hollow-core, pipes, tunnel segments and sleepers.
Because volume is high and margins are thin, we plan just-in-time, repeating deliveries against a rolling schedule so manufacturers hold less inventory without ever risking a line stoppage.
- Typical grade
- B500B / Gr60
- Diameter range
- Ø6 – 25mm
- Common forms
- Coil, welded mesh, cut bar
- Standards
- BS 4449, BS 4483, ISO 6935

Reinforcement steel by industry, answered
What grade of rebar is used for construction and infrastructure?
Most building and infrastructure work uses high-yield ribbed rebar with a characteristic yield of 500 MPa — supplied as B500B to BS 4449, Grade 60 (420 MPa) or Grade 75 (520 MPa) to ASTM A615, and ISO 6935-2. Seismic and bridge work often specifies Grade 60 with controlled ductility, while heavy infrastructure and piling typically calls for larger diameters from Ø25mm to Ø40mm. Steel Rebar Germany supplies all of these grades with a mill test certificate on every shipment.
Can Steel Rebar Germany supply cut and bend rebar for a specific project schedule?
Yes. We process cut and bend reinforcement to BS 8666 shape codes directly from your bar bending schedule, tagged by bar mark, element and pour sequence so it lands on site ready to fix. This is standard for high-rise cores, bridge decks, precast yards and infrastructure packages where on-site cutting waste and labour are the biggest hidden costs.
Do you supply reinforcement steel for marine and offshore structures?
Yes. For marine, port and offshore work we supply standard ribbed rebar for splash-zone and submerged elements where cover and concrete quality govern durability, and we can source epoxy-coated or stainless reinforcement on request for the most aggressive chloride exposure. Every order is certified and documented for the project’s durability specification.
Which industries does Steel Rebar Germany export reinforcement steel to?
We export to contractors, distributors and precast manufacturers in building construction, infrastructure and bridges, energy and power, water and utilities, marine and offshore, and precast manufacturing across the GCC, Africa, Europe and Asia — shipping in containers and break-bulk to over 40 ports with full mill certification and export documentation.
What standards are Steel Rebar Germany reinforcement products certified to?
Our rebar, mesh and cut and bend reinforcement are certified to BS 4449, ASTM A615 and ISO 6935, with welded fabric to BS 4483 and bending to BS 8666. Manufacturing is backed by ISO 9001 quality management and, where specified, CARES product certification. Every shipment carries a mill test certificate confirming chemistry and mechanical properties.
