Trust & Traceability
Quality Assurance & Mill Certifications
Every bar we ship is mill certified rebar to BS 4449, ASTM A615 and ISO 6935 — chemically analysed, tensile and bend tested, and traceable to its heat number. A mill test certificate accompanies 100% of Steel Rebar Germany shipments, container and break-bulk alike.
Standards We Certify To
Five recognised standards. One uncompromising spec.
Steel Rebar Germany reinforcement steel is rolled, tested and documented against the international standards that structural engineers, consultants and port authorities actually specify. Each certificate is traceable, auditable and issued with the shipment — never after the fact.

Reinforcing steelThe Mill Test Certificate
An MTC on every shipment — no exceptions.
A mill test certificate is the steel mill’s official quality record. It proves that the exact heat of steel in your container meets the grade you ordered. With Steel Rebar Germany, you never receive a bar without its paperwork: the MTC ships in the export documentation pack and is matched to the heat number rolled into every bar.
- Chemical analysis — carbon, sulphur, phosphorus and carbon equivalent (CEV) by spectrometer.
- Mechanical results — yield strength (Re), tensile strength (Rm), elongation and Rm/Re ratio.
- Bend / re-bend — ductility verified to the governing standard.
- Heat & cast traceability — unique heat number linking certificate to bar.
- Standard conformity statement — BS 4449, ASTM A615 or ISO 6935 declared explicitly.

From Heat to Hold
How every batch is tested before it ships
Reinforcement steel earns its certificate through a fixed sequence of laboratory checks. No heat is released for export until it passes each stage against BS 4449 and ASTM A615 acceptance limits.
Chemical analysis
A sample from each heat is spark-spectrometer tested for carbon, sulphur, phosphorus and carbon equivalent, confirming weldability and corrosion behaviour.
Tensile testing
Bars are pulled to failure to measure yield (Re), ultimate tensile strength (Rm), the Rm/Re ratio and total elongation against the grade’s minima.
Bend & re-bend
Ductility is proven by bending and re-bending around a mandrel; the bar must show no cracking on the outer surface to pass.
Dimensional & release
Rib geometry, diameter tolerance and unit mass are verified, the heat number is rolled in, the MTC is issued and the batch is cleared for export.

Standards Comparison
BS 4449 vs ASTM A615 vs ISO 6935 at a glance
Buyers often specify across regions. This summary shows how the grades Steel Rebar Germany supplies map onto the three governing standards, so you can confirm conformity before you order.

Figures are indicative minimums for buyer reference; the governing certificate and current standard edition take precedence on every order.
Anti-fraud & certificate authenticity
Counterfeit and “uncertified” rebar is a real risk in international trade. Steel Rebar Germany protects buyers with end-to-end traceability: the heat number printed on every mill test certificate is rolled physically into the bar, so a certificate can always be matched to the steel it describes.
To verify a document, email the certificate number to our quality desk at sales@steelrebargermany.de or WhatsApp: +49 163 1141934 — we confirm it against the mill’s original records. Where contracts require it, we arrange independent third-party witnessed sampling and re-testing at an accredited laboratory before loading. If a certificate cannot be verified, the steel does not ship.
Questions
Mill-certification FAQ
Yes. Every batch of Steel Rebar Germany reinforcement steel is rolled and tested to BS 4449:2005+A3:2016 (Grade B500B), ASTM A615/A615M (Grade 60 and Grade 75) and ISO 6935-2. A mill test certificate accompanies every shipment, traceable to the heat number stamped on the bar.
A mill test certificate is the steel mill’s official quality document. It records the chemical composition of the heat, the mechanical results (yield strength, tensile strength, elongation), the bend/re-bend result, the standard the bar conforms to and the unique heat number. Steel Rebar Germany issues an MTC for 100% of shipments — container and break-bulk alike.
Match the heat number printed on the MTC to the rolled-in heat mark on the bar, then email the certificate number to our quality desk. We confirm authenticity against the mill’s original records and, where the contract requires it, arrange third-party witnessed sampling and independent lab re-testing.
Each heat is checked for chemical composition (carbon, sulphur, phosphorus, carbon equivalent) by spectrometer, then tested for yield and tensile strength, elongation, the tensile-to-yield ratio (Rm/Re) and bend/re-bend ductility in accordance with the governing standard before release.
