R513 is the highest-specification grade in the standard R-series of structural welded mesh, produced to DIN 488-4 and EN 10080. Its 10 mm longitudinal wires at 150 mm pitch deliver 5.13 cm²/m — a reinforcement area that satisfies even the most demanding structural slab and infrastructure element designs under EN 1992-1-1 (Eurocode 2) without requiring supplementary loose bars in many applications.

Material Grade
B500A (normal ductility: k ≥ 1.05, Agt ≥ 2.5%) is the standard supply grade. B500B (high ductility: k ≥ 1.08, Agt ≥ 5.0%) is available for seismic and high-ductility specifications. Both deliver 500 MPa minimum characteristic yield.

- Heavily loaded suspended slabs and transfer plates — multi-storey buildings with high imposed loads (≥ 7.5 kN/m²), parking structures, and transfer plates supporting columns where the Eurocode 2 design calculation demands steel areas above 4.5 cm²/m.
- Major infrastructure: bridge decks and viaducts — reinforced concrete bridge deck slabs where fatigue loading, wide crack-width control, and high permanent loads govern the reinforcement specification.
- Airport and port pavements — concrete airfield pavements, aprons, and container terminal hardstandings subject to heavy wheel loads requiring crack control under repeated loading.
- Tunnel lining segments and culverts — precast segmental tunnel lining, box culverts, and other civil infrastructure elements with heavy structural demands.
- Raft foundations and thick ground slabs — heavily loaded industrial raft foundations where the foundation slab design requires elevated reinforcement ratios in both upper and lower mats.
- Retaining wall stems under high earth pressure — cantilever retaining walls with significant retained height, where the wall stem reinforcement demand at the base exceeds lighter mesh grades.
